Getting to Cox's Bazar
Cox's Bazar is about 400 km south of Dhaka. You have three main options to get there.
Option 1: By Air (Fastest)
The quickest way is a direct flight from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (DAC) to Cox's Bazar Airport (CXB).
- Duration: 1 hour
- Airlines: Biman Bangladesh, US-Bangla, Novoair
- Price: 3,000 – 8,000 BDT one way
- Book via: Airline websites or Shohoz, Sharetrip
Tip: Book 2-3 weeks ahead for peak season. Prices rise sharply closer to travel date.
From Cox's Bazar Airport to Hotel Amin International: CNG auto-rickshaw — about 150 BDT, 20 minutes.
Option 2: By Bus (Most Popular)
Many operators run AC coaches from Dhaka to Cox's Bazar, departing from various points.
- Duration: 9-12 hours (overnight recommended)
- Operators: Hanif, S Alam, Green Line, Shohagh
- Price: 700 – 1,500 BDT
- Departure points: Sayedabad, Mohakhali, Arambagh
Tip: Book the overnight bus. You depart around 10 PM and arrive by morning — saving a day's hotel cost.
Option 3: By Train + Bus
No direct train to Cox's Bazar yet (the line is under construction). The combination option:
- Train from Dhaka to Chittagong (5-6 hours)
- Bus or microbus from Chittagong to Cox's Bazar (3-4 hours)
Total time: 8-10 hours Best for: Those who prefer trains
From Cox's Bazar Bus Terminal to Hotel Amin
Auto-rickshaw (CNG): 80-120 BDT, about 15 minutes to Kolatoli Dolphin Circle.
